2. Purpose

These terms govern the use of the My Hero Teller app, which lets you play interactive gamebooks, and of the my-hero-teller.com website (together, the "Service"). Using the Service means accepting these terms.

3. Access to the Service

The Service is free, with no in-app purchase and no advertising. It is currently in early access: creating an account is reserved for invited addresses or people with an invitation code.

An account is required to play. The publisher may change, suspend or discontinue all or part of the Service, in particular to maintain or update it.

4. Account

The account is created with an email address and a password, or with a Google or Apple sign-in. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for the use of your account.

You can delete your account at any time in the app (Account, then Delete my account) or by writing to contact@my-hero-teller.com. Deletion is final and erases your saved games.

5. Use of the Service

You agree to use the Service in accordance with the law and these terms. In particular, you may not:

In case of breach, the publisher may suspend or delete the account concerned.

6. Intellectual property

The books offered in the Service, their texts, illustrations and rules, belong to their authors and rights holders. The app, its interface and its graphic elements belong to the publisher. Any full or partial reproduction or representation without permission is prohibited.

What you create while playing (notebook notes, drawn maps, hero names) remains yours. It is only kept to back up and sync your games.

7. Beta reading

Some books in progress can be opened for beta reading with a code. The nickname you choose and the feedback you write are sent to the author of the book and the reviewers they invite. Do not include any personal information.

8. Liability

The Service is provided as is. The publisher strives to keep it available and to back up your games, but cannot guarantee that it will be free of interruptions or errors. Its liability can only be engaged for proven fault, within the limits set by law.

9. Personal data

How your data are processed is described in the privacy policy.

10. Changes to the terms

These terms may change with the Service. The version in force is the one published on this page, with its date.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first by writing to contact@my-hero-teller.com. Failing that, the dispute will be brought before the competent courts under the ordinary rules of law.
